My Duffy Theatre recount

At 11.00 AM the whole school went to the hall to watch the Duffy Theatre. Before the show was about to start we had a little practise of singing the Duffy song. When we came in, it was very quiet. Once we entered we saw someone playing the guitar in a funny way but with correct notes.

We watched him for 10 minutes . It was a very long show but there was so much singing and it was very funny. The main theme was about finding Duffy's best friend. Bex was looking for  her pet Milly because they had lost her when they bought her. It was like a musical but also a comedy. The show was an hour long.

It was pretty long but fun. My favourite part was when they did slow motion in real life and fell to the ground. The funniest part was when the school told them where Milly was, but the characters could not find Milly.

They were running a little bit slower, so that the show would be even more fun. There was one part that Bex and her Dad were looking at Aaron's YouTube channel. It was very weird because it was on a piece of cardboard surrounded by a YouTube video image. Their plan was to get Milly back right. Duffy had a great idea to use the books to find Milly.

They used oat bars to get her, but it was kind of hard because Milly was always in motion. It took them almost all afternoon to find her. Milly’s poop was ginormous. They looked like mini basketballs for toddlers. What they used for the show was a brown cushion shaped like a 3D circle. While they were looking for Milly, Bex’s books really helped. They had Milly in the background holding up some sticks with words on them, so that we knew what Milly was imagining. Milly was an animal from a book. She was a hybrid animal and was: one third chicken, one third cat and one third dog.

Milly loved oat bars and kept eating them. Bex came home and watched another one of Aaron’s videos on YouTube. Afterwards Bex read the book, and it said “They like the sound of children singing”. So they asked people from the school to hold the lyrics for the song. When we were singing the song Milly came back. She was so happy and even sang along with the kids. Bex was able to discipline Milly. During the very last part, Bex felt Milly was going to poo but she laid an enormous egg two times bigger than the Poo. This was the end.

I enjoyed  the Duffy Theatre very much. During the end I felt like I was going to die, from the Duffy Theatre. It made me feel so good inside because I laughed so hard until my stomach was sore. I really hope we can watch another theatre throughout 2020. My rating for this year’s Duffy Theatre was 8/10.

Today I did Prototec Maths on stage 6. My result was 36/40. The ones that I got wrong were 97+_ = 1000, 1000-71=,11-3= and 13-6=. So it looked easy but it was actually a little bit hard, especially the first and third columns. The easiest column that I had was the multiplication and division column because I know these facts very well.

Room 1's Birthdays

In Room 1 May and July had the most birthdays celebrated. Four students celebrated their Birthday
during  May and July.

January and August have the same amount of people celebrating their birthdays.

The months that had no people celebrating their birthdays are 0
October, November and December.

The months that had the same amount of people were May and July. The months that had the least
amount of people  were March with only one person that celebrated their birthday.

I am looking forward to the activities that we have at Christ the King School. My personal achievements from last year was getting three certificates at the end of year prize giving. The people that inspire me are my two best friends Dwight, Jia and Zean.
